The
San Andreas Fault
This painting by celebrated artist and retired CSUS art professor Esteban
Villa, hangs in the entry of Sac State’s new Serna Center. The Serna
Center promotes research on Latinos in the Sacramento Region, and sponsors
lectures, conferences and other special events. It opened in the spring
on the main floor of the University Library, and is named for the late
Joe Serna Jr., who was a CSUS professor and Sacramento mayor, and his
wife, the late Isabel Hernandez-Serna, who was a CSUS professor and administrator.
