The
photography program at Sac State has added another feather to its cap: It
is now a full-fledged major jointly offered by the Departments of Art and
Design. Highly regarded for the talents of both its faculty and its students,
the photography program gained both state-of-the-art facilities and exhibition
space when its new home, Mariposa Hall, opened in 2000. Labs range from
traditional darkrooms to digital, to alternative processing for platinum/palladium
printing. The Design Gallery, Mariposa 4000, regularly features student
