"Hate violence" is defined as any act of physical intimidation or physical harassment, physical force, or physical violence, or the threat of physical force or violence, that is directed against any person or group of persons because of the ethnicity, race, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, or political/religious beliefs of that person or group.

The University and the Department of Public Safety will not tolerate hate violence and are dedicated to ensuring all persons are protected regardless of their ethnicity, race, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability or political/religious beliefs.

In furtherance of this mission, all "hate" crimes and incidents will be thoroughly documented, investigated, and prosecuted.
