The California State Legislature established a fee waiver program for California residents sixty years of age and older to enroll in classes at CSU campuses on a space available basis. At Sacramento State the Sixty Plus Program allows students to enroll in classes after acceptance into degree seeking programs as an undergraduate or graduate student. All university application deadlines and admission requirements must be met for acceptance into the Sixty Plus Fee Waiver Program. Sacramento State is no longer accepting Auditors, Second Bachelors or Unclassified Graduate student applications.
Applications:
New or returning Sac State students submit the CSU Online Application for Admission and the Sixty Plus Fee Waiver application form available at the Student Service Counter, first floor Lassen Hall. Continuing Sac State students who have reached the age of 60 may submit the Sixty Plus Fee Waiver Form only.
Student Eligibility:
Students must be sixty years or older prior to August 25th for Fall and January 25 for Spring to be eligible. Documentation and proof of age must be verified by submission of a photocopy of California driver's license, passport or birth certificate. Students must be California residents for one full year to be eligible. Students must complete the residency portion of the CSU application to determine California residency and eligibility. Students must be regularly admissible to the university. All prior official transcripts and test scores are required at the time of application.
Application Deadlines
Students must adhere to all program application deadlines. Students are encouraged to apply in October or November for Fall semesters and August for Spring semesters. Classified Graduate, Credential and Certificate Program deadlines vary. Check with the Office of Graduate Studies for specific program deadline dates

Transcripts
- Request official transcripts for all colleges attended as soon as possible. Graduate students submit official transcripts directly to the Graduate Studies Office. Those who have fewer than 60 transferable college units must also submit official high school transcripts. Previously matriculated Sacramento State students who have not completed additional academic work do not need to submit transcripts.

Fees
Registration fees are $3.00 per semester. This fee does not cover books, lab fees, parking, commuter pass or courses offered through the College of Continuing Education including Open University. The registration fee is due upon registration for classes
Registration
The Sixty Plus Fee Waiver Program is a space available program. Students are eligible to register during Open Registration which begins approximately two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester. Because this is a space available program, students are not guaranteed a seat in a class. You may have to attend the first class meeting and obtain instructor permission to add classes.
