Programs include: Research Grants (up to $20,000 for 1-yr projects, or up to $35,000 for 2-yr projects) & Dissertation Grants (up to $15,000 for 1-yr projects). Applications accepted three times each year. Also supports the Institute on Statistical Analysis for Education Policy, a three day training event, usually held in May.

Projects have included job training & math, science, technology, & environmental education improvement, including curriculum development. Emphasis is on broad, innovative, & forward-thinking projects with national scope. Call for pre-recorded details. Guidelines may also be viewed online, but applications cannot be submitted electronically. Deadlines are 2/1/, 5/1, 8/1, & 11/1, annually.

SHRM is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. Supports high impact HR research, whether the focus is on addressing current challenges or understanding emerging trends. Grant must be for original rigorous empirical academic research projects that advance the HR profession or have clear applicability for HR practice. More funding available than previous years. Awards up to $200K.

Supports research & social-action projects that focus on understanding & finding solutions to a broad array of social problems. Primary goal is to encourage research, including community-based research, that supports & promotes social change. Areas of interest: social/political inequalities; poverty & employment issues; social welfare issues; minority group & gender issues; 2nd language learning & use; literacy; & topics related to language in its social contexts. Awards are from $10-20,000. Deadline refers to required concept papers.
