Faculty Travel Stipends

NOTE: All funds for the current fiscal year have been committed. The program is anticipated to undergo some change this summer. Please check back after July 1 for additional information.

Research Administration allocates funds each year to provide partial assistance to faculty who are presenting the results of their research or scholarly activity at a professional conference. Travel support is limited to $500 or one-half the total cost of the trip, whichever is less. A faculty member may only receive one award per fiscal year.

These funds are available on the following basis:

1. The faculty member must be reading a paper prepared for a professional meeting in his/her discipline or special area.
2. There must be evidence (a copy of the letter accepting the paper, a copy of the appropriate page from the meeting's program) that the paper has been accepted.
3. The presenter's chair must indicate that the delivery of the paper will "further the mission of the University."
