What is SacLink?
SacLink is your point of entry to Sacramento State information resources and the gateway to the Internet. When you create a SacLink account, you are establishing a Global ID that is used to identify each student, faculty member, and staff member. SacLink was established to provide e-mail and Internet services to all students, faculty and staff. SacLink is used for My Sac State, WebCT, and Dial-In services. Although SacLink provides access to the Internet through the Sacramento State dial-in modem pool, you can use another Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you use another ISP, you still need to create a SacLink account for accessing many Sacramento State resources.
Here are some of the things that you can do with a SacLink account:
-
E-Mail: You can send and receive e-mail messages to Sacramento State faculty, staff, students, or anyone in the world with an e-mail address.
-
Campus Web Pages: You can access campus information on the World Wide Web via the campus website at: http://www.csus.edu.
Information includes:- Class Schedules and Open Classess via My Sac State.
- News and Events

-
Library Resources: You can access Eureka, the Library's online catalog, and other resources 24 hours a day.
Personal Web Page: You can create your own personal Web page.
-
Campus Resources: Many campus resources use your SacLink account for verification including university computing labs.
-
Dial-In Access: If you have access to a computer and a modem, you can access Sacramento State information resources from a remote location.
-
Wireless Services: You can access the Internet on campus with your laptop through both campus wireless and open jack connections.
- VPN: The Virtual Private Network connection (VPN) can be used for wireless and open jack connectivity or as a mechanism for remote users to access campus resources that are otherwise restricted.
