Setting Up A SacLink Account

  • Individual accounts may be requested by student applicants*, admitted or currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff by accessing the SacLink registration Web page.
  • During the SacLink registration process, you will be asked to provide your last name, last four digits of your campus identification number, and month and day of your birth date.
  • Once the account has been established, it may be accessed from any computer connected to the Internet.
*Student applicants are eligible for limited accounts--see for more information.

SacLink is not a public account.  Do not share your account with anyone.  Your SacLink ID is used to access many Sacramento State services including student records through My Sac State.   Therefore, it is very important that you do not share your SacLink account access information.

Follow the Steps Below to Create a SacLink Account

  1. Get connected to the Internet or visit the IRT Service Desk when on campus.

  2. Open your Web browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Firefox etc.).

  3. Go to the following Internet address:

  4. Click the Register button.

  5. Enter your last name and the last four digits of your Sac State ID number. From the drop down list, select the month and day of your birth. Click on the Continue button.

  6. Read through the SacLink Use Agreement thoroughly. Make sure you understand all the terms you are agreeing to and click on the Continue button.

  7. Click the OK button to proceed to the next page. From the options on the screen, select a username and click on the Continue button.

  8. Choose your SacLink password according to the rules described in the page. Type your password twice and click on the Continue button.

  9. Write down your SacLink username and your e-mail address. This completes your SacLink account registration.
