Larry Augusta (‘62, Social Science)

Larry Augusta retired as the assistant counsel for the State Board of Equalization in 2002 after 35 years of state service. He has been on the Alumni Association board of directors since 1999 and was president in 2001-02. He also served on the statewide CSU Alumni Council and is a member of the University’s Community Advisory Board, Community Council, Stinger Athletic Association, Homecoming Week Committee and Alumni Scholarship Committee. In 1997, he was honored by the Department of Social Sciences at the Alumni Honors Luncheon.

Augusta is active in Sacramento High School’s Visual and Performing Arts Foundation, the Sacramento City Music Coalition and the Jaycees. He has served on the Sacramento City Planning Commission, the YMCA board of directors, the Sacramento Old City Association and the Bradley Wilson Foundation.
