Joe Eberhard scored 21 points and had nine rebounds in the Hornets' win Saturday against Eastern Washington. He averaged 17.5 points and seven rebounds in two victories last week.

Men’s basketball

Saturday: Defeated host  Eastern Washington 75-71.

Record: 8-14, 3-8 in Big Sky Conference play. This week: 7:05 p.m. Thursday vs. Montana State; 7:05 p.m. Saturday vs. Montana.

Women’s basketball

Saturday: Lost to Eastern Washington 90-84.

Record: 8-16, 3-8 in Big Sky Conference play. This week: 6:05 p.m. Thursday at Montana; 1:05 p.m. Saturday at Montana State.

Men’s tennis

No matches last week.

Record: 0-2. This week: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at California. 

Women’s tennis

Saturday: Defeated Fresno State 4-3.

Record: 1-2. This week: 2 p.m. Friday at Washington; 4 p.m. Saturday at Washington State.

Track and Field

Friday: Ify Agwuenu set a school record in the women’s weight throw (60-11¼) to lead four Hornet women to register top-five marks in school history in individual events, and Alberto Millan won the men’s weight throw.

Saturday: Zach Coniglio won the men’s shot put for the second time in as many meets, Millan placed third, and Marcus Sannadan scored a personal best as four Hornet men finished in the event’s top 10. Three others finished in the top 10 in the 60-meter hurdles. In the triple jump, Lauren McGlory won to lead three Hornets who finished in the top four.

This week: Saturday at Husky Classic in Seattle.

Gymnastics

Friday: Defeated visiting No. 27 Southern Utah 193.725-192.800. Freshman Kalliah McCartney won the all-around, setting a Sacramento State freshman record with a score of 39.200.

Record: 2-2. This week: 7 p.m. Friday at UC Davis.
