Baseball

Friday-Sunday: Won two games of a three-game Western Athletic Conference series at San Jose State. Friday: Won 7-2. Saturday: Won 8-3. Sunday: Lost 8-7.

Record: 24-20, 7-5 WAC. This week: 3 p.m. Tuesday vs. San Francisco (nonconference); 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 1 p.m. Sunday at Fresno State (WAC games).

Men’s golf

Friday-Sunday: Finished second at the Winchester Classic in Meadow Vista. Complete results.

Rowing

Saturday-Sunday: The Hornets medaled in four of five grand finals, claiming two silver medals, and two bronze at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships at Lake Natoma. It was just the second time in school history that Sac State medaled in each of the regatta’s four most prestigious races: varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four and novice eight. This week: Idle. Sac State’s next competition will be a the Dad Vail Regatta, May 11-12 in Philadelphia.

Softball

Saturday-Sunday: Split four games in a season-ending Pacific Coast Softball Conference series at San Diego. The first of two victories Sunday was coach Kathy Strahan’s 800th in her career. Saturday – Lost 4-3; lost 7-5. Sunday – Won 4-2; won 7-1.

Record: 27-19, 10-9 PCSC.

Track and field

Friday: The Sac State men defeated UC Davis 99-92 and the women beat the Aggies 102-86 in the annual Causeway Track and Field Meet. The victories clinched the Causeway Cup – based on head-to-head competition between the schools in all sports – for Sac State. Complete results.
