Baseball

Friday-Sunday: Lost two games of a three-game Western Athletic Conference series at Fresno State. Friday: Won 9-7. Saturday: Lost 10-6. Sunday: Lost 8-6.

Record: 25-23, 8-7 WAC. This week: 3 p.m. Tuesday vs. Saint Mary’s (nonconference); 3 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday vs. Hawaii (WAC games).

Track and field

Saturday: The men’s and women’s teams combined for nine event victories at the Sacramento State Open, the Hornets’ final regular-season event. Alicia Truesdale (100 hurdles), Natalia Wright (triple jump), Markita Hinton (shot put) and the 4x400 relay team were winners on the women’s side. For the men, Benny Williers won the 5K, Paul Lyons  the 110 hurdles, Mark Frazier the steeplechase, Alberto Millan the shot put and Marcus Sannadan  the hammer throw. Complete results.
