What: Presidential debate viewing
Where: Sacramento State campus, 6000 J Street, Sequoia Hall, Room 301
Who: Sac State Government Professor Kimberly Nalder, who is also director of the Project for an Informed Electorate, hosts this group viewing of the televised debate.
When: 5:45-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3
Notes: An audience of the public, students, faculty and staff will view the first presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. Audience members will be polled before and after the debate and have a post-debate discussion with political scientists there to comment and moderate.
Reporters will have the opportunity to interview audience members.
The Project for an Informed Electorate (PIE) is an effort to identify and distribute accurate, open and nonpartisan information on candidates, initiatives and other political issues to foster greater understanding of politics and government.
