Sacramento State’s Student Veterans Organization is partnering with the Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Department and the Placer County Veterans Service Office to collect items for care packages to be sent to service members deployed overseas.

Typical items include candy, toothbrushes and snack foods (beef jerky, fruit snacks, nuts, gum, tuna, power bars, protein bars and dried fruits).

All items must be pre-packaged, sealed and contain nutrition and ingredients labels. Donations are being accepted through Friday, Nov. 30, at the Sacramento State Veterans Success Center in Lassen Hall, Room 3003, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Make this an especially meaningful holiday season by remembering those men and women serving their country overseas. They deserve our continued support for their sacrifices.
