Sacramento State’s LegiSchool Project is seeking entries for its annual essay contest. This year’s topic is the DREAM Act. Students will discuss in their essays whether they agree with public policy proposals such as the DREAM Act, how such proposals affect California and ideas they have regarding steps California can take to address the issue of undocumented minors in the state.
The contest is open to California high school juniors and seniors. LegiSchool will select 10 winning essayists and provide them round-trip travel to Sacramento to participate in the 17th Annual Student Legislative Summit on Wednesday, April 10.
Online entry forms and electronic submission instructions can be found on our website: www.csus.edu/calst/contests.html.
