Enjoy terrific displays of art while strolling about the tree-lined pathways of the Sacramento State campus.
Paintings, sculpture, ceramics, drawings, electronic art, and more – much more – highlight the University’s annual Art Ball. The Ball starts at 5 p.m. Friday, May 17, and keeps rolling until 8 p.m.

Art and festivities, including the exhibits of Senior and Master’s artworks, will be featured in buildings across the campus.
A reception for the Senior Show will be held from 5-8 p.m. in Kadema Hall. The show is being displayed in the Else and Witt Galleries. The MA Show in the Library Gallery Annex also will hold its reception from 5-8 p.m. The Senior Show runs May 6-23. The MA show will be displayed May 7-24. Else and Witt gallery hours are noon-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Library Gallery Annex hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Multiple exhibitions, installations, art demonstrations and displays will be on view in Kadema Hall studios, at Mariposa Hall and the Art Sculpture Lab.
There will be performances and refreshments in the Kadema Hall breezeway.
“We never know quite what will happen at the Art Ball, but we always are certain that it will be interesting, enjoyable and provocative,” says Art Department Vice Chair Catherine Turrill. “And it’s a splendid fanfare for the BA and MA candidates who are graduating this year.”
