Sacramento State’s Alumni Center is the site of an upcoming community-wide event to celebrate the new partnership of three agencies – A Community for Peace, My Sister’s House and WEAVE – that specialize in domestic violence issues.
Tres Hermanas: One Voice for Peace is 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, and features multicultural entertainment, light refreshments and a brief program. Tina Macuha, of Good Day Sacramento, and Kat Maudru, a former KSEG DJ, will emcee.
Admission is free for everyone.
Sierra Health Foundation and Sacramento State’s College of Health and Human Services are event sponsors.
“The College of Health and Human Services is proud to be part of this important event,” says the dean, Fred Baldini. “These three organizations provide critical services to members of our community in great need of assistance.
“We in the college have also been fortunate to work with these groups through internships for our students and volunteer activities for our faculty and staff. We look forward to expanding our work in the future as new opportunities become available.”
