Sac State choirs explore 'Love and Eternity'

A local premiere and special guest musician highlight “Deep in the Heart: Songs of Love and Eternity,” the upcoming concert by Sacramento State’s University Choirs (www.csus.edu/music/choral).

Led by conductor Donald Kendrick, the University Women’s and Men’s choruses will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at Sacred Heart Church, 39th and J streets.

The program includes the area premiere of Leonard Enn’s “Eternity.” The groups also will perform Mark Templeton’s “When I Hear Her, I Have Wings.”

Harpist and Sac State music Professor Beverly Wesner-Hoehn joins the choirs for Gustav Holst’s “Two Eastern Pictures.”

Tickets are $10 general, $7 seniors and $5 for students. Advance purchases are recommended and can be made at the University Ticket Office, (916) 278-4323 or www.csus.edu/hornettickets.
