Law enforcement career program to visit Sac State

Mentoring in Law Enforcement, a program designed for students interested in law enforcement careers, comes to Sacramento State this week.

Freshmen and sophomores may register for the Thursday, Feb. 13, session while juniors and seniors may attend the Tuesday, Feb. 18, session. Both are scheduled for 1:30 to 4 p.m. at The WELL’s Terrace Suite. Register at www.csus.edu/hhs/cj/.

Representatives from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, the Sacramento Police Department, the Sacramento State Police Department, the California Highway Patrol, the Elk Grove Police Department and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation will be there to provide information and answer questions. Topics include responsible use of social media, social media’s role in evaluating candidates, and traits employers are looking for in job candidates.
