Sacramento State’s Public Debate Association and Project for an Informed Electorate (PIE) will present a free public forum, “Prison Break: California’s Prison Crisis and Reform,” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, in Del Norte Hall, Room 1004.

Members of Sacramento State’s Debate Team, University professors and policy experts will weigh in on issues of prison overcrowding and realignment, and California’s prison policy.

“PIE’s involvement in the forum is aimed at increasing awareness on the issues facing citizens in regards to California’s prison crisis and reform,” says director Kimberly L. Nalder.

The Public Debate Association is a new project of the Debate Team, designed to promote quality debates, deliberations and discussions on the Sacramento State campus.
