Campus officials conducted a test at 11:15 a.m. Friday, March 7, of multiple components of Sacramento State’s notification system for use in emergencies or other critical events where life and safety are at risk.
The test included text messages, emails, campus digital signs, the University website’s home page, classroom telephones, loudspeakers and desktop alerts on some University-owned computers, as well as social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.
To help assess the effectiveness of the system, officials are seeking feedback regarding receipt of the test messages. Students, please go to https://survey.webapps.csus.edu/TakeSurvey.aspx?SurveyID=76ML657. Staff/faculty/auxiliary, please go to https://survey.webapps.csus.edu/TakeSurvey.aspx?SurveyID=p2MKlm2. The brief survey also provides an opportunity to comment on the process; please do not call the Police Department regarding this test.
If you believe that your mobile phone has been registered to the ENS system but you did not receive a text message, you may go to www.csus.edu/ens/signup.html to confirm or update your information; that website may also be used for new ENS registration.
Thank you for your assistance with this important process.
