Graduates from Sacramento State’s health profession majors can count on making some of the nation’s highest salaries, according to a new survey by PayScale.
The website provides information on salary compensation for individuals and employers. Its 2013-2014 PayScale College Salary Report, Health Professional Majors (http://bit.ly/MfmAkV), has Sacramento State in eighth place for future doctors, nurses, anesthesiologists and other health care deliverers.
The University of Rhode Island is tied with Sacramento State. Coming in first in a three-way tie were Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus; Oregon State University; and the University of Georgia. No other California university made the top 20.
“This is a result of the dedicated faculty, engaged students and excellent facilities that create a wonderful learning environment,” says College of Health and Human Services Dean Fred Baldini. “We are committed to providing alumni who meet the needs of our community, and are pleased to see that the value they bring to the community is being recognized.”
