Hornet creativity goes into overdrive when it comes to decorating mortarboards for Commencement.
Sac State’s TV commercial captures the triumph of Commencement with a game-day twist. Go Hornets – on the field and in the classroom!
This year’s holidays carried even more special meaning for 3,346 Sacramento State students who took part in the University’s Winter Commencement on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 20-21, at Sleep Train Arena.
The figure includes summer graduates and those from special programs.
CSU Trustee J. Lawrence Norton was a special guest during Friday’s proceedings. Norton, a retired mediator specializing in education and public policy, and principal of Norton and Associates, attended the noon ceremony of the College of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies.
Sacramento State made it easier for upcoming graduates and their families to participate in this memorable moment with a one-stop Commencement web page, www.csus.edu/commence. There they found a list of FAQs covering items such as what to bring, how many guests could be invited – even which side of the cap the tassel goes on.
