Graduation Unity Day
As part of the California State University Graduation Initiative, a systemwide effort to decrease the time to attain a baccalaureate degree and improve graduation rates of underrepresented students, Sacramento State will host the Graduation Initiative Unity Day: "Promoting Graduation Success for Every Student."
The event, open to the campus community, will be in the University Union Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, April 25.
The CSU Graduation Initiative strives to raise the freshman six-year graduation rate systemwide by eight percentage points by the 2015-16 academic year. Campuses are encouraged to establish graduation targets comparable to the top quartile of national averages of similar institutions.
The Graduation Initiative Unity Day: "Promoting Graduation Success for Every Student" is designed to bring together students, instructors, staff and administrators to explore ways to reduce the time it takes to earn a degree and to help ensure additional underrepresented minority students obtain their degree. The event is open to the campus community.
