Prospective Hornets will flock for Preview Day


More than 1,000 prospective Hornets and their families are expected to flood the Sacramento State campus Oct. 1 for the University’s annual Preview Day.

Young people considering Sac State as their destination in Fall 2012 are encouraged to attend by registering in advance at The event is free but space is limited.

“This event showcases the academic and student programs offered at Sac State at a time students are making decisions about where to apply for college,” says Admissions and Outreach Director Emiliano Diaz.

The day includes information sessions on admissions, housing and financial aid; meetings with faculty; and a tour of the campus, including residence halls. New this year are sessions for first-generation or low-income students and their parents. Information sessions will be held in Ballroom One and the Redwood Room in the University Union.

Preview Day is the perfect opportunity for future Hornets to learn about the life-changing opportunities Sacramento State can provide because of its unique position in the state’s capital city.
