Guido Krickx will assume the position of Dean of the College of Continuing Education at Sacramento State, effective Tuesday, Nov. 1.
Krickx is currently associate dean and director of Graduate Business Programs at St. Mary’s College in Moraga. His doctorate is in management and he earned an MBA from UCLA. He holds a graduate degree in management from Rijksuniversiteit Gent, Belgium. His undergraduate degree in commercial engineering is from Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Belgium.
During the last five years at St. Mary’s College, Krickx has developed and directed graduate programs in four locations. At California State University, East Bay from 1997 to 2006, he had several administrative responsibilities and oversaw the university’s academic programming in Europe. He also managed MBA consulting project courses while at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a faculty member.
Krickx brings to Sac State considerable experience in global education and graduate degree development. His keen understanding of California’s economy could prompt him to help craft innovative educational opportunities for both traditional and nontraditional students, in partnership with Sacramento State’s seven other colleges. He is expected to bolster the College of Continuing Education English Learning Institute’s recruitment and success of international students.
