Sacramento State and Chinju National University of Education (CUE) in South Korea signed an agreement Tuesday to cultivate new international academic opportunities, and to explore partnerships with the TESOL program at the College of Arts and Letters and the English Language Institute at the College of Continuing Education.

The visiting delegation from CUE was led by President Seon-Yu Kim. CUE, one of the most prestigious universities in South Korea, has educated more than 30,000 elementary school teachers since its founding in 1923.

During their stay, the delegates are meeting with academic leaders around Sacramento State and the nearby community, including administrators from Golden Empire Elementary school. They will also get a taste of American culture with tours of Old Sacramento, the State Capitol and downtown.
