Sacramento State’s Academic Talent Search is now accepting applications for this summer’s session on the campus. Students who apply by 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, receive priority consideration for admission.

ATS offers educational enrichment and accelerated learning through fun and challenging classes for fourth- through ninth-graders. Classes include creative writing, animal science, chemistry in everyday phenomena, acting on camera, cartooning, forensic science and many others. Courses run June 18-Aug. 3.

Before applying, each student needs to take a qualifying exam of multiple-choice questions. The test measures the student’s aptitude for learning.

Course fees range from $138 to $419 and financial aid is available.

Since its founding in 1982, ATS has provided instruction to more than 37,000 academically talented young scholars. Many of these students have gone on to achieve great success in college and in their chosen careers.
