Center to conduct town hall, simulated election

Sacramento State’s Center for California Studies will present a LegiSchool Town Hall Meeting and Mock Election from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1. The Town Hall Meeting is from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and the Mock Election from 2:30 to 3. Both events will take place at the Secretary of State’s office, 1500 11th St., first-floor auditorium.

California students and a panel of experts will discuss the upcoming presidential election and issues on the November state ballot. They will answer the following questions: What issues are important in this election? What issues most impact California? Who would you prefer as president?

The LegiSchool Project is a civic education collaboration between Sacramento State and the state legislature, administered by the Center for California Studies.
