The holiday tradition continues as Sacramento State’s University Choirs, led by Donald Kendrick, present the popular “Procession of Carols” on Dec. 1-2 at Sacred Heart Church, 39th and J streets. Performances are at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1; and 2  and 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2.

Procession of Carols

Candlelit processions, narrations and organ, as well as beautiful music from the University’s Choral Program make this a festive occasion every December.

This year’s program includes the Austrian carol “Still, Still, Still” and fresh new settings of “Jingle Bells” and “The Snow Lay on the Ground.” The audience will be invited to share in some of the music to brighten holiday spirits.

The “Procession of Carols” regularly sells out, so advance tickets are strongly recommended. Tickets are $15 general, $10 seniors and $5 for students, and are available at the Sacramento State Ticket Office, (916) 278-4323.
