American Indian Student Success Collective

Sacramento State abounds with rich diversity. In an effort to support the needs of our American Indian community of students, the American Indian Student Success Collective has been established to promote the rich traditions of the culture, the faculty/staff and students, as well as build on successful existing approaches to advance student success.

Efforts encompassed by the Collective include:

The American indian Summer Institute- and access initiative promoting college readiness and access to higher education.

College Motivation Days- to inspire the educational goals of native students throughout the aducational pipeline.

Fairs/Forums- to advance knowledge and understanding of American Indian culture.

Panel Discussions- to highlight educational reform efforts, discuss topics of interest, and to educate the campus community about American Indian cultural practices and traditions and contemporary issues facing our communities.
