I.
OVERLAP BETWEEN GENERAL EDUCATION (GE) AND MAJOR/MINOR CLASSES
|
|
A.
|
A maximum of six units of lower division courses from your major
department may also be applied to the General Education requirements.
No upper division coursework from your major department may be
applied to the nine unit upper division requirement in General
Education (even if the courses are not credited toward major requirements.)*
At CSUS, lower division courses are numbered 1-99; upper division
courses are numbered 100-199.
For Business Administration majors,
substitute School of Business for major department.
For Social Science majors, substitute
History for major department. |
|
B.
|
There is no restriction to the number of courses (either upper
or lower division) that may overlap between minor requirements
and General Education.
* Note: The overlap policy is slightly different
for students whose catalog rights begin prior to Fall 1992. For
more information, contact the Academic Advising Center (LSN-1012,
278-6351) or visit our website at http://www.csus.edu/acad/faq/ovrlp.htm
