CASPER NOTICES
NOTEWORTHY FOR 2005-2006
JUNIOR STANDING: Beginning with registration for Summer 2005, students will reach junior class standing upon completion of 60 semester units. (Formerly, transfer and continuing students who had completed 56-89 units were considered juniors for admission and CASPER-priority purposes). This change is a result of admission requirements prescribed by the Board of Trustees of the California State University.
ANNUAL SCHEDULE / STUDENT HANDBOOK: The Annual Schedule
(booklet or Web) is also your handbook for procedures, deadlines, phone
numbers, exam dates, and other information you'll need throughout the
year. Keep it throughout the SUMMER 2005, FALL 2005 and SPRING 2006
semesters. As with any class schedule, some courses will be cancelled,
other courses will be added, and times and meeting places may change. Updated
course information will be published on the CSUS Web Schedule for Summer,
Fall and Spring semesters.
UNIT LIMIT ON CONTINUED PROBATION: A new policy requires that students who are on academic probation for two consecutive terms (i.e., whose status is Continued Probation) be limited to a maximum course load of 14 units a semester until they achieve academic good standing. This limit will be in effect when students begin registration for Fall 2005.
ONE CARD (Campus ID) RE-CARDING: During the Spring 2005 semester, CSUS continuing students and staff will be issued a replacement OneCard. Distribution of students' replacement cards will take place for a 30 day period beginning April 15, 2005, at the OneCard Office. Current OneCards will expire on May 30, 2005. Deposit balances will carry forward to the new OneCard.
CREDIT CARD POLICY FOR FEE PAYMENT: On June 1, 2004, California State University, Sacramento stopped accepting VISA cards for payment of registration fees. Registration fee payments may be made by Discover, MasterCard, or American Express. A convenience fee of 3.15% is charged for each transaction.
REFUNDS FOR SUMMER 2005: Summer 2005 registration fee refunds will not be automatic. Students who drop classes or withdraw from the summer sessions must file a refund application.
