Students who are not able to complete the semester because of unforeseen circumstances, may withdraw from the University by filing a Withdrawal form. Withdrawal forms are available in the Office of the Registrar and in the Academic Advising Center. Forms may also be downloaded at http://webapps1.csus.edu/admr/content/form/default.asp. Students who stop attending classes without withdrawing, may be assigned “F” or “WU” grades in all courses.

Procedures for Withdrawal from all Classes
A. THROUGH SECOND WEEK OF CLASSES
Fall 2009: Through September 11, 2009
Spring 2010: Through February 5, 2010
Official withdrawal forms may be obtained from and submitted to the Student Services Counter. You do not need to drop each course individually. Students unable to withdraw in person may obtain instructions and forms online at http://webapps1.csus.edu/admr/content/form/default.asp.
B. THIRD THROUGH TWELFTH WEEKS OF SEMESTER
Fall 2009: September 14 - November 20, 2009
Spring 2010: February 8 - April 23, 2010
Obtain and submit official withdrawal forms in the Academic Advising Center, LSN 1013, (278-6351). Students who are unable to obtain the forms in person may obtain instructions and forms online at http://webapps1.csus.edu/admr/content/form/default.asp.
C. DURING THE LAST THREE WEEKS OF SEMESTER
Fall 2009: November 23 - December 11, 2009
Spring 2010: April 26 - May 14, 2010
Official withdrawals from all classes are not processed during the last three weeks of classes except for verifiable medical emergencies.
D. DURING FINAL EXAM WEEK
Withdrawals are not accepted after the last day of classes, December 11, 2009 for Fall semester and May 14, 2010 for Spring semester. Students should contact individual instructors to determine if arrangements can be made to receive an “Incomplete” grade.
