1. A petition, available in the department office, is required for
registration. Either submit a copy of the petition form when registering or
obtain department approval on registration form.
2. Attendance at the first class meeting is required.
3. This is a General Education course. Because of the variety of
General Education programs, students are urged to meet with an advisor in
the Academic Advising Center or Evaluations Office to determine the course's G.E. applicability.
4. Successful completion of this course with a grade of C- or higher
meets the Foreign Language Proficiency Graduation Requirement.
5. Credit/No Credit grading only.
6. Enrollment is limited to approved credential candidates and
those holding a valid California Teaching Credential issued on completion of
student teaching requirement. All others will be disenrolled.
7. EDS 100A/B meets the State mainstreaming requirement. 30 hours of
fieldwork are required (EDS 100B). Requirement may be waived upon
application if student has appropriate experience.
8. Valid Special Education Credential required or permission of
instructor, as well as having an RSP application approved by the department.
9. This course meets the State Code requirements for U.S. Constitution
and State and Local Government - GOVT 1 or GOVT 150. Upper division students
should take GOVT 150 or GOVT 113 instead of GOVT 1 or GOVT 13 to satisfy
the U.S. Constitution and State and Local Government requirement.

Examination.
