Who is eligible to register in Summer semester 2007?

  • Continuing undergraduate students who attended Sacramento State in the Fall 2006 or Spring 2007 semester (Does not include those who completed a Bachelor's degree in May 2007.)
  • Undergraduate students admitted to Sacramento State for Fall 2007 (Contact Undergraduate Admissions about early-start options.)
  • Continuing graduate students who attended Sacramento State in Fall 2006 or Spring 2006 semester, and graduate students admitted to programs that begin Summer 2007.
  • Graduate students admitted to Sacramento State for Fall 2007 (Contact the Graduate Center about early-start options.)
  • Students at another CSU campus (Contact Undergraduate Admissions to file an Intrasystem Visitor or Concurrent Enrollment application by May 24, 2007.)

If you don't fit in one of the above categories, you may be able to enroll through Open University (Open University registration is not available to admitted Sacramento State students.)

Step-by-step registration instructions

  1. Pay fees.

    A. Credit card payments may be made via CasperWeb. Credit card payment is available March 26- June 15 only.

    B. If paying by check, money order or cashier's check, mail in or drop off the payment with the Summer Fee Statement at the Student Financial Services Center , Lassen Hall 1001, 6000 J Street , Sacramento , CA 95819-6052 . Payment must be made 5 business days prior to your registration day.

  2. Clear any holds you may have incurred before your registration day. This includes the Spring 2007 Installment Plan payment due April 5. Log on to CasperWeb at https://csusapp1.csus.edu/casperweb to check for holds.
  3. Call CASPER , (916) 278-8000, or log on to CasperWeb on your registration day. (See Registration Priority for class-level priority registration dates.) CASPER and CasperWeb are available Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you encounter registration difficulties call the CASPER Helpline, (916) 278-8088. Register by April 18 for best course selection and to avert course cancellations.
  4. If a class you wish to add is full, you may select another section or another class, or you may continue to call CASPER or check CasperWeb through June 15 to see if someone has dropped. Some full courses may be available by obtaining an add petition the first day of class. If you are unable to add, see Refund policy.
  5. No Summer Schedule Confirmation will be mailed. To verify your schedule, log on to CasperWeb using your SacLink ID.

CASPER phone registration is available April 2-6 (by priority category) and April 9 - 18 for all eligible students. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CASPER Plus late registration takes place May 14 - 30 and June 4 - June 15. (No adds or drops accepted after June 15 unless approved by petition.)

Adding and dropping

To withdraw from all courses in which you registered in the summer semester, use the Summer 2007 Withdrawal Form.

APRIL 2 - JUNE 15
Summer courses are added or dropped on CASPER (278-8000) or CasperWeb from April 2 - 18, May 14 - 30, and June 4 - 15. If a class you want to add is full or restricted, you may obtain the instructor's permission to enroll on the Petition to Add/Drop/Late Register. Turn the approved form in at the department office (through June 15.)

AFTER JUNE 15

1. After June 15, a signature from the instructor or department is required to add a class in all sessions.
2. After June 15, drops in Sessions A and C require instructor, department chair and dean's approval. (Session B drops require signatures after July 27. Session D drops require signatures after July 6.)
3. A grade of “W” will be posted for classes dropped after the session Census date. No drops will be processed during the last week of any session.
4. The accuracy of registration is the student's responsibility. Students must obtain the necessary signatures and deliver the signed form to the Registrar's Office (in person, by mail, or by fax 916-278-5603) before 4:00 p.m. on the deadline day. The effective date of the transaction is the date received by the Registrar, not the date signed or postmarked.
5. Verify the accuracy of your class schedule by checking CasperWeb, or visit the Admissions and Records Office located in Lassen Hall.
6. If you are dropping within the refund period for the session the course is in, you must complete a refund form in order to receive a refund. See Refund Form .

CASPER Messages
"You are not authorized to register at this time" - You are calling on the wrong day or time. Access to CASPER April 2-6 is by class level. See Registration Priority chart for the day and time you are eligible to call.

"You have not been cleared to register" - You have a registration hold or you have not paid your registration fees.

"The section you requested is restricted" or "Course requires a prerequisite which you have not met" - The course you requested is restricted by major, class level, test or course prerequisite, which records show you have not fulfilled.

"This class is not available for telephone registration at this time."

"You are not authorized to add this course. Call the CASPER Helpline at (916) 278-8088 for assistance." - If you are not a continuing Sacramento State student, contact CCE Records (916) 278-6984 for information about registering for this course.
