Continuing Sacramento State students (admitted through the regular
application process and enrolled in the previous Fall
or Spring semesters) will pay these registration fees:
Nonresident tuition is $339 per semester unit in addition
to the fees noted above and will be charged for all
units enrolled.* A late registration fee of $25
is charged to students who register after May 8, 2009.
*Note: The 30-unit cap on academic
year tuition for non-residents does not apply to summer semester.
Non-Sacramento State students may enroll on a space available basis
beginning June 1, 2009, for first six week and full twelve week courses, and July 13, 2009 for second six week courses, through "Open
University." The "Open
University" registration fee is $160 per semester
All fees are subject to change without notice, based
on approval by the Trustees of the California State
University and/or budgetary approval by the State Legislature
and Governor. (The fees noted above are estimates for
2009 and will be updated if changes occur.)
I RECEIVE FINANCIAL AID FOR SUMMER?
Aid is available based on any remaining eligibility
for the 2008/09 aid year. You must have a 2008/2009
FAFSA on file to determine the amount and type of aid
for which you may be eligible and you must also file
the Sacramento State
Institutional Summer Financial Aid Application (available April 1, 2009).
The timing of the aid disbursement is determined by
the latest start date for the classes in which you are enrolled. For example, if you are registered for one course
that starts on June 1 and another course that starts on July 13,
you will not receive your aid disbursement until the
first week of the course that starts on July 13.
WILL THE SUMMER SCHEDULE OF CLASSES BE AVAILABLE?
The summer schedule will be available on the web about February 1, 2009. There will be no printed Schedule of Classes.
April 1 - April 7 - Registration Appointments by Academic Level.
April 8 - May 8 - Open to all eligible students.
May 11 - May 22 - Late Registration or Schedule Adjustment.
June 1 - June 12 - Late Registration or Schedule Adjustment.
Classes with low enrollment may be cancelled after
May 8, 2009, so it's very important for you to register
by May 8. After May 8, you will be charged a Late Registration Fee of $25.00
I REGISTER FOR SUMMER COURSES IF I AM NOT A SACRAMENTO STATE STUDENT?
If you are currently attending another CSU campus,
you may be eligible to take courses at Sacramento State in the summer
as an "Intrasystem Visitor." You should contact your
home campus for information about the "Intrasystem
Visitor" process and to initiate the application and
financial aid process.
If you are not a student at another CSU campus, you
may take summer courses at Sacramento State on a space available
basis through the "Open
University" registration procedures.
I TAKE CLASSES IN SUMMER 2009 IF I'VE BEEN ADMITTED
