Who is eligible to register in Summer semester 2009?

  • Continuing undergraduate students who attended Sacramento State in the Fall 2008 or Spring 2009 semester (Does not include those who completed a Bachelor's degree in May 2009.)
  • Undergraduate students admitted to Sacramento State for Fall 2009 (Contact Undergraduate Admissions about early-start options.)
  • Continuing graduate students who attended Sacramento State in Fall 2008 or Spring 2009 semester, and graduate students admitted to programs that begin Summer 2009.
  • Graduate students admitted to Sacramento State for Fall 2009 (Contact the Graduate Center about early-start options.)
  • Students at another CSU campus (Contact Undergraduate Admissions to file an Intrasystem Visitor or Concurrent Enrollment application by May 22, 2009.)

If you don't fit in one of the above categories, you may be able to enroll through Open University (Open University registration is not available to admitted Sacramento State students.)

May 11 - 22 Late Registration or Schedule Adjustment
June 1 – June 12 Late Registration or Schedule Adjustment
June 1 – June 12 Open University (space available, non-Sacramento State students only)

Step-by-step registration instructions for continuing Sac State students

  1. Log on to My Sac State to look up your registration date.
  2. Clear any holds you may have incurred before your registration appointment.
  3. Meet with your advisor to plan your summer schedule.
  4. Register for your classes on your registration date. If a class is full, pick another class or add yourself to a Wait List if available.
  5. Don't forget to pay your fees by the payment deadline (see payment schedule below).

    A. Register between April 1 - May 8; Fees due May13; Enrollment Cancellation date May 15;

    B. Register between May 9 - June 12; Fees due June 17; Enrollment Cancellation date June 19;

    C. Register between June 15 - July 17; Fees due July 22; Enrollment Cancellation date July 24.

    D. Late registration approved after July 17 will require immediate fee payment.

Adding and dropping

To withdraw from all courses in which you registered in the summer semester, use the Summer 2009 Withdrawal Form.

APRIL 1 - MAY 8, MAY 11 - MAY 22, & JUNE 1 - JUNE 12
Summer courses are added or dropped via My Sac State.

AFTER JUNE 12

1. After June 12, a signature from the instructor or department is required to add a class. After July 31, the Dean's approval is required for all adds unless the class has ended.

2. After June 12, drops require instructor, department chair, and dean's approval after the second week of instruction.

3. A grade of “W” will be posted for classes dropped after June 26, 2009. No drops will be processed during the last week of any class.

4. The accuracy of registration is the student's responsibility. Students must obtain the necessary signatures and deliver the signed form to the Registrar's Office (in person, by mail, or by fax 916-278-5603) before 4:00 p.m. on the deadline day. The effective date of the transaction is the date received by the Registrar, not the date signed or postmarked.
5. Verify the accuracy of your class schedule by checking My Sac State or at the Admissions and Records Office.

6. If you are dropping within the refund period, you must complete a refund form in order to receive a refund.
