COST
There is a $1.5 million federal appropriation in place, obtained through the efforts of Congresswoman Doris Matsui and the late Congressman Robert Matsui. The late Chien Yuan Hu provided $200,000, and the late Royal and Kirsten Vanderberg provided $200,000. Both Chien Yuan Hu and Royal Vanderberg were physics professors.
