Sacramento has the reputation of being sleepy town. It’s not. Sacramento politics are practiced with callous precision by mercenary players who are not above distortion, deception and lies. In the last year, we’ve seen opponents of Mayor Kevin Johnson attempt to exploit unproven sexual allegations against him. And the campaign to stop gay marriage was hatched and executed with great success from Sacramento. They play for keeps in Sacramento. They play for blood.
