Personal Statement

This is your chance to introduce yourself to the selection committee. Describe your educational and career goals please, but more importantly, provide a glimpse into the "real you" and your committment to your educational goals.

Internship Duties and Relevance Statements

The application asks that you provide a detailed description of your particular assignment as an intern as well as a description of the social, cultural, and educational significance you see in your assignment. While these must be two separate statements, being clear and succint will prove to be most useful. Your response should explain how the internship is important to you and may be submitted on a single page.

Transcripts

The type of transcript provided by educational institutions directly to you, as a student, will suffice for the application process but must identify your current, as well as overall, GPA. If selected as a recipient, but prior to officially being awarded a scholarship, an official transcript will need to be submitted to the Serna Center.
