Prescription services are available to Sac State students only. The pharmacy stocks an extensive inventory to accommodate our student population with medications most commonly prescribed.

Please call the pharmacy at (916) 278-6040 if you have any questions about which medications we carry. If you require a special-order medication, please check with the pharmacy staff for availability and cost.

The pharmacy accepts prescriptions from Sacramento State Student Health Services providers, as well as outside providers in accordance with state and federal law.

We currently accept most third party insurance plans. We accept cash, credit card, or OneCard.

Students may also take their prescription to an outside pharmacy of their choice.

The pharmacy stocks a large selection of over-the-counter medications, first aid products, vitamins, herbal and homeopathic supplements, and toiletries. These are available for purchase by Sac State students, faculty, and staff.

Pharmacists provide thorough consultation services to students and are always available to answer prescription or over-the-counter medication questions. We know that many students are away from home for the first time, and we strive to educate students on the proper way to take their medications, and make them aware of possible interactions and allergies.

The pharmacy offers an inexpensive kit to help treat and manage cold and flu symptoms. The kit includes throat lozenges, antihistamines or nasal decongestant, cough syrup, thermometer and a packet of chicken soup.  The Cold Kit costs approximately $5.00.
