Student Organizations & Leadership - SO&L

Starting a Group

Getting involved in University life can be just as big a part of your education and experience at Sacramento State as your coursework. Any student who participates in a campus club or organization or who volunteers time in the community can attest to the learning opportunities and satisfaction they gain through such activities. By combining the skills you develop through involvement in campus and community organizations with the knowledge you gain in the classroom, you can give yourself a great advantage and open many doors for your future. Use the Student Organization Handbook to access information which gives you step by step instructions on how to start an org and access all of the benefits that come with student organization recognition. Fraternities, sororities, and sport clubs have additional requirements, which are also outlined in the Handbook.
