SO&L Leadership Conferences

Student Organizations & Leadership hosts two leadership conferences each academic year, one at the start of each semester. The SO&L Leadership Conference provides all students at Sacramento State with an opportunity to learn about leadership and develop important individual and organizational leadership skills through workshops hosted by campus and community partners. Build your resume, network with student leaders, and strengthen your potential for academic, personal, and professional success!

Fall 2017: "Leadership: Beyond the Title"

SO&L’s Fall Leadership Conference serves as an opportunity to create a space for students to understand that leadership comes in different forms and a title is not needed to exert your leadership skills. Students get to engage with their peers through a series of activities and workshops that are facilitated by other student leaders, staff and faculty.  The topics covered at the conference will be related to leadership, relationship building and humility as well as offering campus resource based sessions such as Understanding DOC Funding and Nuts & Bolts.

Spring 2018: "Transformation Thru Turbulence"

SO&L’s Diversity Leadership Conference is dedicated to providing a safe and fearless space to all students in the Sac State community. The theme of the conference is Transformation Thru Turbulence and will be held on Wednesday, January 17th from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Transformation Thru Turbulence is intend to highlight the opportunity for growth in the middle of troubling times. Turbulence may last for a period and the ability to transform ourselves to persevere has a long lasting impact. This conference will help explore these themes to better develop your personal and professional development. Our Leadership Conferences are open to all students & we encourage you to consider applying to lead a session at the conference.
