Advising And Retention

The Department of Sociology is committed to student retention and the reduction of barriers to student persistence and success. We work to ensure that our students’ progress from admission through graduation is efficient and successful, and we seek to foster close connections between our students and their peers, as well as individual faculty members.

Each semester, a team of faculty conduct academic advising for our majors, minors, and students interested in the field of Sociology.  All Sociology majors are requested to meet in person with an academic advisor at least once per semester.  Below is our current semester's advising calendar.
