Faculty Awards

The University periodically recognizes faculty from within each College for outstanding achievements. Additionally, faculty within SSIS have been honored with a wide variety of awards. Here are some recent winners:

  • Professor Pattaratorn Chirapravati, Art Department, Director of the Asian Studies Program, is the 2012 winner of the Faculty Senate Outstanding Scholarly and Creative Activities Award for Arts and Letters.
  • Professor Tim Fong, Department of Ethnic Studies, is the 2012 winner of the Faculty Senate Outstanding University Service Award for SSIS.
  • Professor Todd Migliaccio, Department of Sociology, is the 2012 winner of the Faculty Senate Outstanding Community Service Award for SSIS.
  • Emily Wickelgren, Department of Psychology, is the 2012 winner of the Faculty Senate Outstanding Teaching Award for SSIS.
  • Professor Ellen Berg, Department of Sociology, is the 2011 winner of the Faculty Senate Outstanding Teaching Award for SSIS.
  • Professor Boatamo Mosupyoe, Department of Ethnic Studies, is the 2011 winner of the Faculty Senate Outstanding Community Service Award for SSIS.
  • Professor Liam Murphy, Department of Anthropology, is the 2011 winner of the Faculty Senate Outstanding Scholarly and Creative Activities Award for SSIS.
  • Professor Rob Wassmer, Department of Public Policy & Administration, is the 2011 winner of the Outstanding Scholarly Achievement Award.
