Recent Awards

The University periodically recognizes students, faculty, and staff from within each College for outstanding achievements. Additionally, people within SSIS have been honored with a wide variety of awards. Here are some recent winners:

• Jacob Tuttle, Economics Major, is an undergraduate winner of the 2008-09 Faculty Endowment for Student Scholarships award
• Professor Julie Figueroa, Department of Ethnic Studies, is the 2009 winner of the Faculty Senate Outstanding Teaching Award for SSIS
• Professor Kristin Van Gaasbeck, Department of Economics, is the 2009 winner of the Faculty Senate Outstanding University Service Award for SSIS
• Professor Timothy Fong, Department of Ethnic Studies, is 2009 co-winner of the first ever Advancement Awards from the University Foundation at Sacramento State
• Robin Pollock, Administrative Analyst, Dean's Office, is the May 2009 co-winner of the Staff Employee of the Month.
