On-line Training for Faculty and Staff

DARE To Care On-line Training

DARE To Care is a FREE, Web-based, interactive multimedia simulative training program in which faculty learn to identify and handle disabled student issues in their on-campus and distance learning classes. The Faculty Training is content-rich, based on educationally sound learning principles, and can be accessed from any internet-connected computer at http://dare.lbcc.edu. In a multi-year pilot program at Long Beach City College in California, faculty indicated that DARE to Care training provided them with information to make the accommodation process easier, and predicted positive future experiences in providing accommodations.
