| Kari Isch PASS Advising Coordinator kari.isch@csus.edu Kari graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with her B.S. in Health Ecology and a minor in Psychology. She continued on at UNR, earning her M.A. in Educational Leadership. As an undergraduate she worked as a Resident Assistant, which cultivated her interest in helping college students to succeed. Kari strives to empower students in pursuit of their academic and personal goals through providing guidance, support, and connections to the University. In her free time Kari enjoys spending time with her husband, playing with her dog, hiking, camping, reading, and relaxing. Kari also enjoys traveling; she has backpacked through Europe, spent time volunteering at a hospice in Kenya, Africa, and educating children in Mexico. |

Laureen Riddick PASS Student Advisor lr698@saclink.csus.edu Laureen is a senior majoring in Biological Sciences with a minor in Ethnic Studies. She plans on graduating spring 2014 with a goal of attending medical school where she is interested in becoming a pediatrician. She is currently actively involved in the Science Educational and Equity program, as a Chemistry 1B adjunct student facilitator, as well as the Cooper-Woodson College Enhancement Program. During the summer she recently completed her second summer working as an Orientation Leader. When she is not at school she enjoys volunteering at Sutter Memorial Hospital in the maternal new-born department. She is excited to work with the students in PASS Advising to help them achieve academic success during their time here at Sacramento State. |

Rand Doerning PASS Student Advisor rand.doerning@gmail.com Rand is a Senior here at Sac State majoring in forensic biology and expected to graduate in Spring 2014. A veteran of the Marine Corps, Rand has also worked as a Peer Mentor on campus and has extensive experience in academic advising. Working as a PASS Advisor, Rand is dedicated to assisting students succeed by creating an academic success plan and connecting them to the resources on campus. Rand enjoys rock climbing at the WELL and around Lake Tahoe, as well as performing stand-up comedy in the Sacramento area. |

John Kanemoto PASS Student Advisor jwk38@saclink.csus.edu John is going into his fifth-year as a Mathematics Major with a concentration in Teacher Preparation! Incorporating social justice within every advising session, it is his upmost objective to represent the missions and goals of the CSU Sacramento Academic Advising Center and College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. He is involved within the Environmental Student’s Organization, as well as the Mathematics Club, his community involvement extends far beyond the reaches of Sacramento as a member of the national civil rights organization entitled the Japanese American Citizens League. John wants students to walk away from all appointments feeling as if they always have a caring resource on-campus. Moreover, the PASS advising office has the connections and capabilities to support a student along their path of answering all questions/concerns. He feels all students have something to teach him and looks forward to learning from their inquiries. |

Ify Agwuenu PASS Student Advisor ica25@saclink.csus.edu Ify is a Biology major with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences graduation this upcoming Spring. She hopes to be a great resource and a peer who you can come to about anything having to do with Sequoia. She prides herself in being a Hornet and since she bleeds green she wants to instill some of her hornet pride onto you and get you connected with the campus! She's had her ups and downs and will not hesitate to help a fellow Hornet in need. She basically lives on campus because she is involved with other organizations such as BioCorps, First Year Experience Peer Mentor Club, Sacramento State Track and Field Team, etc. She knows where all the cool kids hang out so stick with her and she'll point you in their direction! She is always riding that fancy big wheel scooter all around campus with an even bigger smile on her face. She has plans of becoming an Emergency Room Physician one day and currently works in the ER now. She loves competition and winning, naturally she can't wait to sit down and make academic plans with you all so you can each succeed academically here and later on in life! |
