PASS Advising Coordinator
Tina graduated from California State University, Sacramento with her B.A. in Psychology after transferring from Sacramento City College. She continued on at CSUS, earning her M.S. in Education Counseling. As an undergraduate she worked as a Student Advisor, which confirmed her interest in helping college students to succeed. Tina strives to empower students in pursuit of their academic and personal goals through providing guidance, support, and connections to the University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to professional sports games, camping, reading, video gaming, and relaxing. Her true LOVE is to travel; she studied abroad in London, views Hawaii as a second home, and has photos of herself in front of the Eiffel Tower. Any chance to get out of town on some sort of adventure is what she craves.
Peter is a senior majoring in Computer Engineering and will be graduating in the Fall of 2014. Peter hope to aide each student in the program so that they may succeed with their academic goals. Peter has previously worked as a PAL Facilitator for Math 30. Peter is part of MEP, a past President and Webmaster for SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers), and is the current Treasurer for ECSJC(Engineering and Computer Science Joint Council). With his free time, Peter likes to sleep, catch up on Netflix, and sleep.
Haley is a fifth year student at Sacramento State working on a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. She hopes to graduate in 2016. She has also been involved with the Sacramento State Snow Club on campus. She hopes to use her wide range of knowledge about the campus and classes to help students succeed and reach their goals, both short and long term. During her free time she enjoys camping, hunting, attending Giants’ games and being spontaneous.
Peter is a Physics major expecting to graduate Fall of 2016. Peter hopes to help other students accomplish their goals by connecting them with the many amazing resources on campus and by helping students create a personalized plan for academic success. In his free time he likes to read Sci-Fi novels, bike along the amazing bike trails on the American river, and tinker with remote control vehicles. His favorite places to study are the library and the AIRC.
Tiffany is a senior majoring in Kinesiology with two minors in Mathematics and Biology. She will graduate in spring 2016 and plans to apply to the Anatomy and Neurobiology PhD program at Boston University School of Medicine. As a PASS Advisor, Tiffany hopes that she can assist each student to have a positive view of their college experience and lessen the stress in their daily life. She is excited to get to know the students she will be working with this year. Tiffany loves taking yoga classes at the WELL, running with her dog, and hopes to travel to Greece and India one day.
Anna-Lena is a senior majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She will be graduating in spring 2016 and intends to attend graduate school in order to become a Genetic Counselor. As a PASS advisor, her goal is to help her peer students succeed and regain confidence in their academic progress by directing them to available resources. Anna-Lena is an international student from Germany and chose attending school in California because she loves a challenge and California’s beautiful weather and landscape. She prefers the simple things in life, loves going on road trips, spending time with her family and dogs, and calls Disneyland her second home.
Khoua is a senior majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. She is graduating in spring of 2016 and wants to pursue a career in the medical field. Being a PASS Advisor, Khoua is committed to helping students find resources in order to succeed in their academic career. She is a former officer in the Hmong Health Alliance club and is the chairperson for the 3rd Annual Community Health and Wellness Fair. Besides school activities, Khoua likes to volunteer at the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services assisting in the distribution of food and goods to families. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, exploring new places, and cooking.
