Dennis Geyer joined Sacramento State in October 2006 as University Registrar. Dennis has worked in Higher Education administration for over three decades, serving in various capacities as university registrar, student athletics compliance and certification officer, student systems project manager and team member, and working in institutional reporting and admissions and outreach. He has also taught and coached at the junior high level. Dennis holds his bachelor’s degree in American History with minors in Education and Coaching, and his master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration. He earned both of his degrees at Michigan State University.
As University Registrar, Dennis leads a great team of staff who are responsible for our students’ academic records, registration, enrollment verifications, transfer credit and graduation evaluations as well as the maintenance and improvements in the student information system. He is also data steward for the students’ academic information and records. Dennis takes great pride in how well his team serves our University.
Dennis has been married to his wife Karen for over 40 years, and they have two grown children, Sarah and Zach.
